Beyond job board software there are some great tools that I have used for years to augment my job boards particularly for marketing purposes. Here is a list and a brief description of each.
- StatCounter – this is a simple free way to track your sites web traffic without having to use Google Analytics which has become over complicated and difficult to use. Statcounter is free but you can pay to use it to store more data. It even shows you who’s on your site right now and lets you see details such as what browser they are using and what country they came in from.
- DLVR.IT – a social media tool that can push any RSS feed to any social media account automatically. I use it to push my job feed and blog feed to facebook, twitter, etc whenever I publish something to keep my social channels full of content. You can also use it to curate other news feeds in your industry.
- Canva – this is my favorite software EVER! If you need a logo, a t-shirt, a Youtube thumbnail it can make anyone a good graphic designer. Its worth its weight in gold I=and I use it ever day for blog images and so much more.
- SnagIt – Snagit lets you quickly capture your screen and camera, add additional context, and share images, GIFs, or videos across your preferred platforms. Make screencast videos or screen captures as you need them. Such a great utility to have handy.
- Rev.com – As a podcaster I use REV to transcribe my shows and give me written content I can add to the blog post. You can have a machine translate any audio or video or pay $1.25 per minute to have a human do it and add in timestamps and more.
- Jasper AI – do you suck at writing good content? Well this A.I based tool will write it for you! Pricing starts as little as $40/mo to Access 50+ AI copy generators to write short-form content like ads, product descriptions, and improve existing copy.
- Email Extractor – Email Extractor is a powerful email extraction extension for Chrome. Extension automatically fetches valid email IDs from the web page, you can copy paste particular email ids you need or export all of them to a text or CSV file
So there’s my list of must have tools for job board owners. Use them to booster your job board efforts.
