PREMIUM CONTENT: Marketing your job board requires the use of a few tools in order to maximize your reach. I mainly use four key tools to do that.
They are Dlvrit, Mailchimp, Canva and Ubersuggest. Here’s a look at how I use each one.
Dlvrit: This is my social media publishing tool. I use it to automate the publishing of blog and job content through RSS feeds. I grab the RSS feed from the job board, and tell Dlvrit to publish everything in that feed to Facebook/Twitter/Linkedin at the same time. This allows me to keep social media channels full of content while I sleep.
You can tell Dlvrit how much content to publish or just publish it all. I spend about 70 bucks per month by pushing content to a few dozen sources from for my various sites and clients. It also allows you recycle content through “Evergreen posts” and lets you repeat a post 2x under the “Echo’ feature. Republishing your most important content every month or so is a good strategy.
Mailchimp: Mailchimp is more than just a newsletter tool. It now contains a lot of marketing features including websites, ads and automation. I have over 13k emails which costs me $170 per month to host them.
I use Mailchimp a few ways. One, I sync job board registrations to it via my SmartJobBoard and Jobboard.io accounts. Two, I automate the publishing of regular newsletters through RSS feeds. For example every Wednesday at 10am the newsletter for Job Board Secrets goes out based on the new blog posts I publish. All I have to do is blog, the automation makes the newsletter happen.
You can also connect your social media accounts to each newsletter so when they go out those channels also announce the newsletter (its published as a web page).
Uber Suggest: Want more traffic? Ubersuggest shows you how to win the game of SEO. Just type in a domain or a keyword to get started. I use to study potential keywords and topics for my SEO game. It helps me to find the right phases to use for the title of a blog post. It’s also great for suggesting content ideas based on keywords. The tool is free but you can pay to upgrade it. If you are serious about content marketing a good SEO tool like this one is a must have.
Canva: This is by far my most cherished marketing tool. I pay $12 a month for the premium version. Canva is an online graphics program. No longer do you need expensive software like Photoshop to create best of breed social media images, logos and images. Canva makes it easy for almost anyone to create awesome looking images with correct sizes for Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and more.
Canva is the one too that I look forward to using on abs everyday basis. I have never loved a tool more than I love Canva right now. Its actually FUN to make images. Using awesome images will boost your sites brand in ways you can’t imagine. Use it!
