Two years ago I launched Jobfairing.com, a directory/search engine for discovering job fairs across the USA. Today it has several thousand monthly visitors and I just relaunched the site with a completely new look and feel. The previous WordPress based version became too unwieldy to manage and maintain.
Job fair organizers can post their events for free. Or they can pay to feature them and we’ll advertise the event on Facebook. Current clients include JobNewsUSA and RecruitMilitary.
I launched the site after realizing just how many of these events happen each month. There was never a way to search these events from one place and now there is. It pulls in events via XML from sites like Eventbrite. Launched on the Smart Job Board platform i was able to customize it to fit job fairs, not job descriptions.
If you are holding an event soon, create an account and get your fair listed. Types of job fairs include colleges, multi-employer, open house, virtual and veteran. The service is free and seekers can even get email alerts for fairs in their area.
