Data is important. Especially in the online recruiting world.
More and more employers are demanding more feedback and statistics as to the ROI of what they’re spending with you and the return they get.
As the amount of data grows the more recruiters will want it. Thats why job boards need to start thinking ahead and begin parsing out this data and giving it to clients.
What kind of data you ask? well, things like…
* the amount of times a job has been viewed
* the amount of candidates you drove to the client
* where did that candidate come from?
* types of candidates in your resume database
* even trends like what types of jobs are being posted on your board
At the very least I think every job board should be displaying basic stats on their job description pages. Take a look at what I do with the jobs posted via my mobile app JobSpeek. Each listing displays total number of page views, location of user and referral source (where that user came from). When a job seeker comes to your job board you can see all kinds of useful information about them from your web analytics.
So give people information and feedback. Think ahead.
JobSpeek is fantastic! What a great idea. Nicely done Chris.
