The existing job board software vendors all have duration based pricing features. Employers pay a fee to post a job for X number of days.
But PPC and PPA are now mainstream on the big job sites so is it time job board software vendors followed suit.
I say YES.
The time has come for software vendors to at least add PPC (pay per click) to the mix. Most niche job boards don’t have the volume traffic to support PPA yet so I think PPC is the next best step in product features.
It could work by allowing the employer to post a credit card on file and then be charged at the end of each month for the number of clicks/apply clicks each job receives. The job board can set the minimum price such as .50 cents per click (the industry avg is $1.06)

So if you are a job board software company reading this I’d love to see you implement some kind of performance based pricing features into your product. It’s time these platforms start evolving more to keep up with the times.
