Ziprecruiter once had a big hold on the affiliate job backfill market but no more. 10 or so years ago they had Zip Alerts for email backfill and then they acquired job board software platform Jobboard.io which was supposed to help drive more backfill traffic … but they never seemed to make that model work well enough.
They sent the email below to partners announcing its end. I wouldn’t be surprised if they also shut down Jobboard.io once day too since they have not been actively iterating on that product for quite a while.

Dear Partner,
We’re reaching out to inform you that after careful consideration, ZipRecruiter will be deprecating the job search API service known as ZipSearch effective March 31, 2025.
Unfortunately at this time, we will not be offering an alternative option for distributing or backfilling jobs.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Remove the ZipSearch API: Disconnect your ZipSearch integration by March 31, 2025. Starting in April, the API will no longer return job results.
- Update Payment Information: Ensure your payment details in ZipRecruiter Marketplace are up-to-date to receive any outstanding payments.
In addition, this email serves as notice to terminate our applicable ZipSearch agreement (or the relevant exhibit and schedule of the Master Services Agreement) and, where applicable, the relevant portions of our Marketplace Data Processing Agreement that apply to the ZipSearch services (e.g., Job Ad Content – Backfill; Widget) on April 1, 2025. For clarity, any other effective agreements or exhibits you may have with ZipRecruiter for other services (outside of those applicable to ZipSearch) will be unaffected by this termination.
