Well its been one month since I launched RemoteFetch.com with the help of Aspen Tech Labs and their JobMount software. And to sum it up, I am pleasantly surprised by the early traction.
In the past 30 days the site has received over 7,500 visitors and generated more than 27,000 page views.

All that traffic came primarily thanks to two sources;
- Google for Jobs
We stocked the site with over 50k remote job listings scraped directly form employer sites and Google for Jobs is sending me traffic to those job steadily. I knew remote jobs were a great traffic magnet but even I was a bit surprised on the G4J traffic levels. Turns out, they are gold!
Job seekers absolutely LOVE remote jobs.
I also turned to Reddit to see if I could get some clicks and thankfully they have a couple of large remote job search subreddits (over100k members each) that I joined and placed a few links and comments to RemoteFetch.
For example, I found a few posts from job seekers who said they were having trouble finding remote jobs and commented to them to try out RemoteFetch. They thanked me, and I got a ton of clicks from those links. Some of my comments went viral a bit and I had two days with traffic spikes of 600-700 visitors thanks to my reddit comments and links.
So by getting listed on G4J and spending a little time on Reddit I drove 7500 people for FREE to visit my site. That’s a really great start for such a simple strategy.
As a reminder, RemoteFetch is a new experiment I am trying. I am not looking to make money with the site at this point. My aim is to grow it for 1 year and then figure out a monetization strategy. I will be regularly blogging on its progress here on Job Board Secrets.
