In my series of job board profiles we continue this week with Isarta.com. Isarta caters to marketing, communication, sales and digital media jobs in Canada and France.
I asked their founder to tell us more about the platform and its origins. Here’s what he told me;
Isarta’s History
Isarta’s journey began on January 3, 2003 in Montreal, Canada, marking its official launch as a job board. Since then, it’s grown significantly to expand from Canada to France, boasting over 600,000 registered members and 13,000 client employers today. This speaks volumes about Isarta’s commitment to connecting talented professionals with top opportunities in the communications, marketing, and digital media fields.
What’s the origin story?
Isarta’s story is one of innovation and a passion for connecting people. Our goal from the very start has been to facilitate meaningful connections within this vibrant community at a time where most job postings were still done in newspapers or in overly generic worldwide platforms like Monster, and every step we’ve taken since has been in pursuit of enhancing and refining that mission.
The origin of our job board traces back to a recognized gap in the job market for a specialized platform that caters specifically to professionals in the marketing and communications sectors. We noticed that these professionals were looking for opportunities that matched not just their skill set but also their passion for the industry, and employers were seeking a more targeted approach to finding the right talent.
Motivated by this need, we set out to create a platform that would bridge this gap efficiently and effectively. Our aim was to not only simplify the job search process for these professionals but also to support companies in finding the perfect candidates who share their vision and values. It was from this foundational idea that our job board was born, with a commitment to enriching the professional lives of those within the marketing and communications community with offering news and training to them.
Isarta, now stands for “Interface of Specialized Algorithms for Recruitment, Trends and Academics”. The brainchild behind Isarta was looking for a short, catchy domain name back in the early days of the Internet.
Describe Your Site’s Niche
Isarta caters specifically to the recruitment needs of the marketing, communication, sales and digital media industries, for now specifically in Canada and France. This targeted approach allows us to provide a highly specialized service to both job seekers and employers. By focusing on these dynamic fields, Isarta can ensure candidates possess the specific skills and knowledge sought after by companies in these sectors. This focus fosters a win-win situation, connecting top talent with the most relevant opportunities.
How long did it take to get your first paying client?
Isarta’s dedication to its niche and innovative approach resonated quickly with the market. We were able to secure our first paying client within just a few weeks of launching the job board in 2003. This swift success is a testament to the value Isarta offered in the digital space to both employers and job seekers in the communications, marketing, and digital.
What is your pricing model?
Our pricing model is designed with flexibility in mind to suit various recruitment needs, offering single job postings and comprehensive packages that include employer branding and CV matching features. Starting at an accessible point for individual postings, we also provide value-packed options for employers looking to run extensive recruitment campaigns, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency in finding the right talent.
Do you sell other products beyond job postings?
Beyond job postings, our services have expanded significantly to support the careers of marketing, communications, and digital media professionals comprehensively. We have Isarta News, which has been keeping professionals informed of industry trends since 2014, and Isarta Training, offering specialized communication, management, and marketing courses since 2016. Additionally, we’ve incorporated artificial intelligence into our recruitment tools to better match candidates with employers. These offerings underscore our commitment to not only facilitate recruitment but also to support continuous professional development and industry insight.
Is this a side gig or your full time job?
This endeavor is a full-time commitment of a dedicated team passionate about supporting professionals in marketing and communications. Our platform represents a significant investment of time, resources, and innovation, all directed towards offering the most comprehensive services possible to our community.
Anything else we should know?
I would like to emphasize our commitment to advancing the careers of professionals in the marketing and communications fields. We take pride in our role as facilitators of career growth and organizational success, continuously evolving to meet the changing needs of the industry with innovative solutions and a supportive community focus.
