Recently I write about the value of showcasing resumes on your job board homepage. A reader emailed me about it;
I’m currently including resume access in my paid packages, never really considered that it could be beneficial to showcase resumes to all visitors to my site. Would you offer this feature regardless of whether employers have registered, paid etc, like … no strings, completely free of charge?
Absolutely yes.
Doing so, shows potential employers and seekers that your site is alive…perception is reality. Showcasing them will only help not hurt. If you have a lot of resumes its an even better idea.
I think of resumes as a value add for employers, give them away for free until you reach some sort of critical mass but that usually takes a long time. If you use them as a lead magnet for employers it should help to sell more postings.
