I came across jobs.workable.com the other day. Workable is a small business hiring software (AKA an “ATS”) that contains all of their clients job listings in a simple easy to use job search engine. Job seekers can see every job that Workable has in their system.
I love that Workable did this.
It gives extra value to their client base while allowing them to leverage their own technology. An ATS is essentially a private job board anyway in terms of how it works. Each company has an admin to post jobs and job seekers apply.
I think job board software companies could easily add employer careers sites as an option. It would give them another revenue stream and leverage the same tech. All they have to do is remove the publicly available post a job/pricing areas and you basically have an ATS at that point.
