One of the things I stress to my clients today is the importance of having multiple revenue streams for your business. And in times like this, having different ways to make money is highly important.
As a freelancer for most of my career I have made a point to do just that. I sell ebooks, I consult, I have advertisers and affiliate income. Just recently I added a new source, press releases.
Combined, all these channels protect me in the downtimes we now find ourselves in.
For job board owners I encourage you to look for other ways to make money beyond postings. Adsense, for example is one of the simplest things you can do today to earn dollars. Its free money as long as you have some traffic.
Same thing goes for backfill. Monetizing by displaying other sites’ jobs is an easy way to add to your bottom line.
