I’m seeing a nice uptick in traffic once I switched niches and changed JobsWithRelo.com into JobsWithRemote.com that offered a more appealing and broader niche to job seekers. So far I am happy with the results.
Nearly 2/3 of my traffic is coming from two sources: search engines and social media. Google Jobs is starting to bring in some traffic to the 2000+ jobs I have listed on the site. I pulled a XML feed off USA.jobs with just jobs that contain the phrase work at home in them and Auto-Import them within my Jobboard.io admin panel. Unfortunately i don’t get paid for clicks I send them but the jobs help to attract users off search engines.
Bing has sent a few visits but not much. Don’t forget to add your site to Bing’s webmaster tools.
I am predicting about 2,500 unique visits for the month of January. All of that is free traffic. By virtue of being included in Google Jobs (jobboard.io sites are setup for it) and by sharing these work at home jobs on social media, I can get FREE traffic.
I have added 4 profiles and 16 people have created job alerts so far in January. I also began using Mailchimp to send these users a weekly list of the latest postings. Since they are ALL work at home listings they are relevant to any user of the site for the most part. I use the jobs RSS feed and tie it with Mailchimp’s RSS send function. The email goes out automatically each week and helps bring in more clicks to the site.
I’ll do another update in early February for my premium members only.
