Since the start of August I have made nearly $2k selling job postings & packages on my national board, CareerCloud.com. I started a job board on it back in the spring of this year and also syndicate jobs to Jobs2Careers and other aggregators. I basically pitch it as an alternative to Ziprecruiter.
To get those sales I have to email hundreds of recruiters on a daily basis. This is how I do it.
1. Using EmailGrabber I crawl a job board that I know has email addresses listed on their job listings. In the example below I crawled Careerbank.com for about 12 hours and it found 257 emails of recruiter who are hiring right now.
2. Once collected, I export the emails into a .CSV or Text file. I open that file, copy the emails and send them to my gmail company email account in the body of that email.
3. Then, before I can send I go into the settings on gmail and add my email copy as part of the signature and turn the signature settings to on.
4. Then I open the email and click each email, one by one. Gmail pops open a new window with the message pre-populated. I cut and paste the same Subject line into each one and send. It talks about an hour to get through 300+ emails. I do it first thing every morning when i get up.
The more emails you send, the more money you’ll make. Expect to receive some ‘message not delivered’ emails because some of the emails will be old or discontinued.
