Ok so you’ve got a job board that lets employers post jobs. But what else are you doing to help them recruit better?
I believe Branding is the next opportunity to help them.
Why? Most companies dont know how to market themselves to candidates. Their job advertising sucks. They fail to attract the right candidates (or not enough of them).
So if I were a job board here’s what I would do to help them and increaase my revenue.
1. Offer job description writing services. You can charge for this! Hire a copywriter to outsource the writing to.
2. Visuals: upsell premium job listings that include photos or videos of the company work environment. Offer to create visual job ads that they can use to promote themselves on social media.
3. Extra exposure: does you job board have a blog? Offer employers a chance to be featured on it for a price. For example you could do a 5 question Q&A with them about their jobs and benefits and publish that as a blog post. You can charge $100-$250 for something like that. (it will help their SEO)
For inspiration look to sites like The Muse, Firmplay and Stack Overflow Careers. Even blogs like CareerRealism are offering ways for employers to stand out with blog posts.
