So as you know from my post on Monday the facebook job board was a flop. So I thought I’d write about what I would do if I were them.
But this post is just for you premium readers, Facebook will have to pay me to get my advice!
I would put a jobs link on the navigation menu for everyone to see. Then I’d add these feature;
(feel free to use these ideas on your own too)
1. Display jobs from my friends companies by pulling in listings from Indeed, SimplyHired and any other job sites who will give them access.
2. Alert users to when their friends change jobs or move to a new employer. (stay up to date)
3. Display facebook posts and pages that mention that company name. (help the job seeker do research on employers)
4. Make money by integrating Indeed.com or SimplyHired backfill. (Indeed has deep pockets they would probably be willing to pay for this kind of deal)
5. Incorporate maps and other social features.
6. Let users upload their resume to the profile.
I could probably go on if I gave it more thought. But this would be a great start.
