Every job board needs content to help drive search engine traffic and give job seekers something else to look at while on the site.
So what kind of content should you create? Well it depends on what type of niche you are in. For example when I ran a site for New York City jobs I created a free PDF ebook to attract job seekers. It contains resources/info/links for finding work in Manhattan and has been downloaded over 1000 times.
Podcasts are also a great content strategy. For my sustainability job board (jobsinsustainability.com) I created a podcast about being a ‘sustainability coordinator’. Its been viewed over 2400 times.

I really love content that tells people HOW to get a job in a certain industry. If you run a healthcare job board you should write content about salaries in that industry, certification & training info, and whatever else people need to know about getting hired for it.
Take a cue for content from podcasts like “How I got my job” http://howigotmyjob.com/. So be specific about your niche and crank out the content!
