Here are two quick tips that may help you and your job board. These are simple ideas that are easy to implement.
1. Rotate Your Logo: did you ever notice how often Google changes their logo to reflect a holiday or commemorate some big event? While I was at JobCircle last week I noticed their logo header graphic had a winter landscape scene in the background. Their CEO said they change it 4 or 5 times per year to reflect the seasons, taking a page from Google.
Its not a bad idea. They just changed the logo back to a more traditional look. I think its one of those small design things you can do to keep your site fresh. It costs nothing to swap out logos and get creative with them and can only serve to enhance your site’s credibility in the marketplace.
And make sure to put your phone number on it as well.
2. Job Change Notifier: is a simple tool that notifies you when your LinkedIn connections change jobs. I use it to keep track of my HR/recruiter connections.
