Even though I have a large job board network I dont get many phone calls. I put my company’s phone number on every page of every site to encourage that they call but the truth is job boards are mainly an online transactional business. The phone number gives them piece of mind. They trust sites that make it easy to contact them. Yours should do the same.
Usually when I get a new prospect on the phone they are close to buying so one trick I’ve learned to do over the years is offer them a discount, just for calling. I’ll give them a coupon code for twenty bucks off a job posting.
By offering them a discount I am creating a loyal customer. They may or may not use it but the fact that I give it out so quickly shows that I am confident in my sites ability to help them recruit.
BONUS TIP: Offer non-profits an automatic discount. On your rates page put up some text that says “Discounts for Non-profits are available. Call for details”. Non-profits are often looking to post jobs but they need an incentive, give them one.
