One of the easiest ways to get links for job boards is to approach job related blogs and either ask for one via link exchange or offer to pay for one. I have bought many a link on job blogs. Recently I approached a popular job blog and offered to pay them $100 for a link on their blogroll. 1 hour later I had my link and I paid them via paypal. Just don’t announce publicly that you bought a link, otherwise the google police will ding you for it.
Exchanging links is easy too. Just create a “job resources” page on your board and fill it with various job blog links. Then contact those blogs, show them the page you link to them and ask for one in return.
I also just learned of a new link service called Build My Rank. Here’s what my colleague Joel said about them: Using a closed network of sites, the service is pretty picky about the kind of properties that get in and helps you build inbound links to your website. You pick the anchor text you’d like to use (make sure it’s varied and looks organic). It costs $59-per-month and scales up according the the number of domains you have.
I also own a blog called blogforjobs.com, if you want to get ($) a link on there let me know.
