If you run multiple job boards you should be linking to them from each other in the footer of all pages throughout the site. You want to encourage crossover traffic.
Here’s how I do it:
I created a directory of my other sites using keyword phrases not the actual url. Then in the description of the link I placed another keyword phrase. This is all for the search engine’s benefit. You can see the example above when i mouse over the link for Westchester the add’l keyword phrase appears.
I have seen some some just link to their other sites with images, not text. But that is a mistake. Use your footer to create search engine juice to your other sites.
