If you are building your own job board from scratch be sure to keep your pages as light as possible so they load quickly. Faster loading sites will gain more trust from google. Here’s the proof.

On their blog they recently tested the major job search sites such as monster, hotjobs, the ladders, careerbuilder, indeed, etc. in a web performance test.
Guess whose pages loaded the quickest? Not monster, not careebuilder…it was Indeed.com.
Just one look at the pages on CB & Monster and you’ll see why. They are cluttered with graphics text and ads while Indeed has a much simpler and cleaner way of displaying listings.
So the moral of this story? Simpler is better. Bet on it!
