Using blog software to power a job board is a relatively new concept. But there are a growing number of wordpress theme designers who are creating ones specifically for job sites. Here’s a look at three that I recently found.

I like these options becasue of their ease of use, professional web 2.0 designs and features and the fact that they are search engine friendly (not to mention cheap).
Sites Mentioned:
* Press75.com (Tapp Jobs)
* Jobpress / 12voltjobs / careers.foxnews.com
* Classipress
I love wordpress as a cms. Using it for a job board just makes it even better.
However, the themes are only pure job postings and no resume database features. So, how important do you think it is for a successful job board to allow uploading/browsing of resumes?
Good question. Resumes will always be a small portion of your board as far as revenue goes. In fact some sites dont even offer a resume database at all (ex. collegerecruiter.com). You could always integrate a service link Ning in combination with the blog to have both, although it would be an ‘open’ database. But its not necessary for a successful board.
